Microcrits are in fact not many-limbed wee beasties, pleasing as that image is. In reality The Guardian is offering a prize for the best ‘flash critiques’. Entry is via Twitter using the #microcrits hashtag. Technically the spec is for critique, but plot synopsis is proving popular with participants and retweeters alike. The challenge: to cram your book critique (including title and hashtag) into 140 characters. Easy peasy. See examples above. But will I be winning any prizes? Can’t see it :)

I don’t know when the closing date is, but the meme is sure to continue just for fun. Give it a go!
